Celebrating World Statistics Day 2025 in Andorra.

From the Department of Statistics of Andorra, we join the commemoration of World Statistics Day 2025, supporting and promoting the importance of trusted data for global progress. In line with the guidelines of the United Nations, we have translated the logo text into Catalan, the official language of our country, to bring the message of World Statistics Day closer to our citizens. With this gesture, we aim to reinforce the value of statistics as a key tool for informed and inclusive decision-making.

To mark this occasion, the department’s leadership will take part in an interview on the Andorran public radio and television programme, where they will discuss the importance of statistics in the country. This participation will also help bring the department’s work closer to the public and raise awareness about the value of data in everyday life.

The Third Ministerial Conference on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics in Asia and the Pacific will be held from 24 to 26 June 2025, at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Bangkok, Thailand. The Third Ministerial Conference will (a) celebrate the achievements of the CRVS Decade; (b) identify areas where further work is needed to achieve goals and targets of the 2014 Ministerial Declaration and the Regional Action Framework and the 2021 Ministerial Declaration; (c) formally extend the Decade to align with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; and (d) identify key actions and enhance commitment to ensure inclusive and resilient civil registration and vital statistics systems as a foundation for legal identity for all.
